Well, had a poor day at UK 70.3 this year, just not on it. But on a positive note it was a big improvement on last year, just not what me or my coach were hoping for, but we've addressed the problems and will put em right next time!!…"

We've recently added in BETA test training diary/route planner functionality to the site - would really appreciate it if you could add a workout or two, test it out and give us some user feedback here. Won't be long until we "open" launch the core software (trainingdiaries.com) - you could then add training diaries to stevebirtwhistle.com...

Hi Julian, all good at the moment, just bloody tired! Have two boys of 4 years and 8 months, and both full of cold and not sleeping!! Currently working for Poole Borough Council, not ideal and would like to move but the current climate is not ideal, lot of developers near me are either gettng laid off, or on reduced hours. Public sector has to be good for something! At least the flexi time lets me plan my training better.
Got a question you may be able to help with. I got the ctt handbook and am looking to sign up as an individual member, as my tri club is not affiliated to ctt. Can't find any info on that, do you know how to go about signing up?
Your sites look good, nice and clean. I'm a .NET developer, sql, asp, usual html, xml and the like. Unfortunately they have reduced the web team here from 4 to just me and most of my time is just covering support for intranet, no in-house development being done. As a result my skills are getting a little rusty!
I'm about to hit the turbo next month, as I need to start getting my bike legs back into some sort of shape. Been doing lots of easy miles and commuting everyday, but focus has been on the running and swimming. All going well, have half marathon in the New Forest on Sunday, all off-road, should be nice and muddy! Should be another PB as my last half was over 12 months ago and was a very easy-paced 1:36. I got coach's orders to run steady for first 8 and then build, running the last 3 as hard as I can! I hope I can hold out that long! It's all good fun!
Hi, Happy New Year.
Cold and sniffles aside all is going really well with Harry. Just got back from a great swim camp day with DrivenToTri, plenty for me to work on. Harry has got me doing some great swim sets and has identified my weak areas. Also been doing solid intervals and hill repeats in my running, big improvements already and bodes well for the forthcoming season where I want to get more competitive in my age group. Harry's coaching style is ideal for me, we don't bog ourselves down with loads of stats and numbers, we just get on and work hard on what I need to do to improve. It works!!
Seen the comment from Dan, his swim info has ben most helpful!
Hi Steve. Happy New Year - how's the training/coaching with Harry going - has it given you a new perspective/motivation? Don't think you will have had an alert on this, so just in case, just to let you know that Dan just left you a comment on one of my blog posts. Best wishes PB Tri Ed.
